Buddha Air’s Royal Club is a prestigious club of frequent flyers who can earn miles as they fly. The more you fly, the more you accumulate miles. And once you have enough miles, you can redeem it for benefits such as extra baggage allowance, free flights, gift vouchers for different stores and restaurants and discounts on flights. These benefits are offered in qualifying destinations or the destinations that you fly to. In order to become a Royal Club member, all one has to do is fill up a membership form and get a membership card. You can even start earning from your first flight with Buddha Air with a temporary card. Meanwhile, you will receive the permanent card within 4 weeks of submitting the application form.
Benefits of Becoming a Royal Club Member
The benefits of a Royal Card not only apply to the member but the benefits can also be redeemed by their spouse or child. This includes free tickets and vouchers in the name of the passenger’s spouse or child. So, make sure to write their names when filling the form. Miles:
By collecting miles on your Royal Club card, you can receive benefits like discounted prices on flight tickets and even free flights. In order to claim your miles, you can fill up a redemption form available at Buddha Air offices. Once the form has been submitted, you can receive your chosen award. The mile+cash feature allows for flexibility in payment where you can pay for tickets in part miles and part cash. For eg. you can redeem 50% of the flight mileage points and pay the rest 50% with cash.
Gift Voucher:
You can also redeem your Royal Club mileage to receive discount vouchers from various stores in Nepal. Some of the stores in Kathmandu include Reebok Showroom, Labels Store- Adidas, Lee store etc. In order to receive the gift voucher, you need to accumulate certain points according to your Royal Club membership tier. Baggage Allowance:
Royal Club members get an extra baggage allowance on their flights for up to 5 kgs extra. This is a great benefit as the members will not have to pay for the extra baggage as compared to normal flight passengers.
Royal Club Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyer Program
When you get a Royal Club Gold membership, you become eligible to receive an upgrade on the membership to Platinum and Diamond Frequent Flyer Programs.
Royal Club Platinum Frequent Flyer Program
The Royal Club Platinum is a membership plan for an exclusive group of members who will receive more benefits than regular Royal Club members. Members become eligible for Platinum when they have 7500 or more miles in their account. The members can apply to become a Platinum member, up on which, they will receive a brand new card with a different color scheme which clearly differentiates them from normal members. Platinum members can also fly using their normal Gold membership card when the Platinum membership expires without having to go through any hassle. In case the card is lost or damaged, they should inform the Royal Club office to get a new one issued for a small fee.
Benefits of Royal Club Platinum Membership
- Free flights to qualifying destinations
- Accorded preferential seat status that will be kept in reserve for Platinum members on every destination, every day. These seats can be kept in reserve for up to 24 hours before the flight. However, these seats are not transferable to other passengers.

Royal Club Diamond Frequent Flyer Program
Royal Club Diamond membership is the highest level of the Royal Club Frequent Flyer program. It is the most valuable flier membership which provides facilities above the Gold and Platinum members. The Diamond members get to enjoy a world of benefits designed to make traveling more enjoyable with Buddha Air. Any Royal Club member can apply for the Diamond upgrade if they have earned more than 100,000 miles whether it is redeemed or unredeemed. The Diamond members will receive a new card with a different color scheme (black) and can be claimed only by an eligible member.
Unlike the Platinum card, the Diamond card has no expiry date. However, the members must have mileage earning or redeeming activity once at least every 24 months to keep their membership active. If the account stays inactive in the 24-month period, the Diamond status will expire. On expiry, the members can claim Gold or Platinum to store their flight mileage.
Benefits of Royal Club Diamond Membership
For any flight with a Diamond Club member, they will be offered standby priority at the airport, before Platinum members. For this, members must have their Diamond card available with them at all times during travel. Along with this, they get all the benefits including the benefits of Platinum and Gold membership. In case of misuse of the Royal Club membership card or in its discretion, Buddha Air may change the Royal Club-Diamond program rules and regulations, travel awards and special offers at any time with or without notice. And it also reserves the right to end the Diamond program within six months’ notice.
