NMB Bank and Buddha Air’s Groundbreaking Co-Branded Debit Card

NMB Bank Limited and Buddha Air have introduced the NMB Buddha Visa Debit Card, the first of its kind that offers exceptional financial services and opens doors to a world of unmatched travel privileges and exceptional banking service. An event was organized on 21st September to launch the collaboration between NMB Bank and Buddha Air where Mr. Birendra Bahadur Basnet, Chairperson of Buddha Air along with Mr. Sunil KC, CEO of NMB Bank together unveiled the new Co-branded debit card. Now with the co-branded debit card, cardholders will get to enjoy exceptional perks while traveling with Buddha Air.

This collaboration was initiated to provide attractive offers to the customers of NMB Bank, offers which will be very beneficial to the cardholders during each purchase of flight tickets. With the collaboration between Buddha Air and NMB bank, passengers can now enjoy the following benefits when one obtains the unique VISA debit card. 

- A discount of 10% in the air fare to the Co-Branded Debit Card holder in purchase of tickets from authorized Buddha Air sales counters. Please note that 10% discount is not applicable in the "Special Fare" rather NPR 150 will be discounted. 

- Co-branded debit card holders will be allowed 5 kilograms of extra baggage in addition to the standard weight in all domestic terminals when flying through Buddha Air. Photo identification of the cardholder shall be done to cross verify the identification of the cardholder. This applies to all Co-branded card holders.

- Customers who own the co-branded card holder can now receive easy refund on ticket cancellations. The cancellation needs to be done by the debit card holder by following the due process laid down by the airline, 24 hours or more before the departure time. The air ticket will be reimbursed by the Airline Company depending on the terms and conditions. 

- In case of cancellations of a flight ticket within the 24 hours of a flight departure, 50% of the ticket fare or NPR 2000, whichever is lower shall be reimbursed by the bank per annum. Passengers who need to cancel their tickets within 24 hours then they can contact NBM Bank at 9851176101.

- The card holder will get free withdrawal on any bank ATMs all over Nepal. There will be no extra charges implemented on the card holders for any of the ATMs. 

This innovative collaboration between the bank and the airline is a first among many exciting campaigns yet to come which will definitely make the flight experiences of the passenger’s bigger and better. Thanks to this collaboration, passengers can now except to get a better bargain on flight tickets and not have to worry about getting charged for flight cancellations when they book with Buddha Air.
