Buddha Holidays announce Yatra Tour Package to visit Varanasi & Nepal at one GO, at an affordable price for the first time in the Travel Market. Buddha Air makes it possible as they have started 4 days a week flight to Vanarasi to connect Kashi of Vanarasi & Pashupatinath of Kathmandu. Nepal & Vanarasi holds a special significance in Hindu Religion as both destinations abound Holiest of the Holiest Shrines, Temples, Holy Ghats and Dhams, which are a must Tirtha Dhams for all Hindus to visit once in their life time before they die. We take you to the Holiest Shrines of Lord Shiva "Vishwanath", Holy dip or bath in river Ganga. Interested people can also extend trip to the Bodhgaya, place where Lord Buddha got enlightenment under Mahabodhi Tree. Beside this interested people can also visit Gaya, a very holy place for Hindus where they give away Tarpan (Pinda Daan) to their ancestors. Alternatively one can visit Ram Janma Bhumi at Ayodhya.

Day 01:

Fly KATHMANDU - VARANASI (Arrival & Transfer to Hotel. Evening Arati at Ganga)

Ganga is worshiped by Hindus who believe that bathing in the river causes the remission of sins and facilitates liberation from the cycle of life and death. Pilgrims travel long distances to immerse the ashes of their kin in the waters of the Ganges, bringing their spirits closer to nirvana. Several places sacred to Hindus lie along the banks of the river Ganges, including Gangotri, Haridwar, Allahabad and Varanasi.

Day 02:

VARANASI (Full day tour of Varanasi)

Early morning visit Dashaswemedhj Ghat, Ganga Snan and start boat ride (1 hour). After this Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in Benaras, the holiest existing Place for Hindus, where at least once in a life a Hindu is expected to do pilgrimage. The temple has been referred in Hindu theology since a very long time and as a central part of worship in the Shaiva philosophy. During the religious occasion of Shivratri, Kashi Naresh (King of Kashi) is the chief officiating priest and no other person or priest is allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum. It is only after he performs his religious functions that others are allowed to enter. Return to Hotel for breakfast and continue on city tour visiting Durga Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple.

Day 03

Fly VARANASI - KATHMANDU.

Morning free to visit local market or visit to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment and transfer to airport for the flight to Kathmandu.

EXTENSION I: (Gaya & Bodhgaya)

Day 03:

VARANASI - BODHGAYA.

Morning drive to Bodhgaya (265 Kms – 5 hours), check in at Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour. Bodhgaya, the place where Siddhartha reached the state of Enlightenment commonly referred to as Buddhahood. Bodhgaya, situated on the bank of the river Niranjana, is the spiritual home of Buddhists from the world over and attracts tens of thousands of believers. Siddhartha attained enlightenment meditating under the Bodhi Tree, which still stands today in its original place. Bodhgaya houses different Buddhists monasteries erected by people belonging to different sects of Buddhism such as the Therabada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. The magnificent Maha Bodhi temple in Bodhgaya is an architectural amalgamation of many cultures.

Day 04:

GAYA (Visit Gaya and drive to Varanasi for your flight to Kathmandu)

After breakfast drive to Gaya, visit Vishnu Pad Temple, which is a sacred among Hindus and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. According to believers and religious texts, the footprints inside the temple are of Lord Vishnu. The temple is built in Shikhar Style and was reconstructed in the year 1787 by Ahilya Bai Holkar of Indore.
Beside this, Gaya is significant to Hindus from the point of view of salvation to the souls of ancestors (a ritual called Tarpan / Sraddha or Pinda Daan). According to Ramayan, Ram also visited Gaya together with Sita to perform Pinda Daan.

EXTENSION II: (Allahabad & Ayodhya)

Day 03:

ALLAHABAD (Drive to Allahabad and Sightseeing Tour)

After breakfast drive to Allahabad and start the sightseeing tour. The major highlights of Allahabad are Sangam, meeting point of three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswoti. Here Maha Kumbha Mela is held every 12 years.
After this, visit Allahabad Fort, which has fine specimen of art, design and architecture, set up by Akbar the Great in 1583 AD, Anand Bhawan, the ancestor abode of Nehru Family, Mankameswor, and famous Shiva Temple situated near the Saraswoti Ghat on the bank of Yamuna River.

Day 04:

AYODHYA (Sightseeing and drive to Varanasi to catch flight to Kathmandu)

The major highlights of Ayodhya are: Ram Janma Bhoomi, where Lord Ram was said to have taken birth. There is a small Lord Ram Temple here. At this location there used to be the Babri Mosque which was constructed in 15th century by the Mugals.
Visit Guptar Ghat, it is said that Ram left his body at this place. There are some nice temples and park in this area. After this visit Ramkot, the main place of worship in Ayodhya which stands on an elevated ground in the western part of the city. Hanumangarhi, as per legend the place where Hanuman used to live in a cave guarded the Janma Bhoomi. The main temple here has the statue of Anjani with child aged Hanuman. After the tour drive to Varanasi to catch the flight back to Kathmandu.
