Holiday Packages - 9 Nights 10 Days Tour Zha Rogphu (E.B.C)

Departure: Every Saturday from April - November.

Day 01 Fly onboard Air China to Lhasa from Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, you shall be met by the Tibetan guide and transfer provided to Lhasa city. Overnight stay in Hotel Flora.

Day 02-03 Visit to the Potala and Norbulinka Place, Drepung and Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar.

Day 04 Drive to Gyantse crossing The Kamba La (4794m) and Karo La (5010m) pass via Lake Yamdrok-Tso.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05 Morning: Visit to the Khumbhum Stupa and Phalkor monastery at Gyantse.
Embark on a pleasant 2 hrs drive to Shigatse (90km).
Noon: Sightseeing tour of the Tashilunpo monastery and the free Tibetan market.
Overnight stay at the Hotel Post Office.

Day 06 Drive to Xegar (Approximately 8 hrs)
Overnight at the guest house.
Day 07 Drive over rocky terrain on 4-WD by Land cruiser to the village of Dza Rongphu (4950m).
Overnight at Rongphu Lodge.
Day 08 A 2 hour trek from the Rongbuk monastery will lead you to the base of Mt. Everest Quomolangma as it is known in Tibetan. Explore the base camp and the Rongphu Glacier. Retreat to lodge. Return to Tingri (approx 96 Km/3 hrs.). Overnight at Hotel Snow Leopard.

Day 09 Drive downhill to Nyalam (3750 m) crossing the Lalung La (5082m) and Nyalmu La (3800m). Overnight at Hotel Nyalam.
Day 10 Drive downhill to Zhangmu across the Friendship Bridge and towards Kathmandu.

Package Includes

Accommodation on twin sharing and B&B as per hotel plan, sightseeing tours, monastery entrance fees, English speaking Tibetan guide, private ground transfers, travel permit and normal Tibet/China visa Fee.

Package Excludes

Urgent Tibet Visa Fee (US $ 17 if applicable),Nepal re-entry Visa Fee, Travel Insurance, Evacuation Cost, extra cost in the event of landslide for hiring additional transportation or porters on the Arniko Highway ($10-$15 pp) and personal expenses.
